基本职能 /ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
保护项目经理为中国TNC项目提供技术领导和支持,管理、计划、指导相关地区的保护管理项目。该职位负责解决自然系统和个别物种面临的关键威胁,促进保护界的跨地区学习 ,并为保护规划团队提供与规划过程相关的地区或景观层面的信息。
该职位负责制定和实施保护战略,采用全方位的保护工具来获得不同程度的土地合法权益,并实施各种战略来确保公众和私人对TNC保护重点的支持;协调社区的支持资源,确保保护区得到维护,协调多个项目,设定最后期限并管理完成状况。

1 职责范围
• 运营滇金丝猴全境保护网络合作平台,开展主题活动;
• 管理滇金丝猴保护主题资助项目的实施;
• 执行滇金丝猴保护影响力提升的相关活动,包括滇金丝猴保护品牌建设,项目传播,落实企业合作项目,自然教育项目等;
• 开展项目综合协调工作,参与跨部门协作,支持其他保护项目人员的工作;
• 管理和支持项目志愿者、实习生的工作。
基本条件

Conservation Project Manager of Freshwater
3 RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
• Performs tasks with minimal supervision and makes independent decisions based on analysis, experience and context.
• Supervises technical, administrative and professional staff with responsibility for performance management, training and development.
• Ensures program compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
• May work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain and under physically demanding circumstances.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in freshwater and natural resource management or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing staff or volunteers.
• Relationship building experience to work closely with a variety of partners, i.e., media, government officials, internal scientists, and get along with others on the team and supports collaboration.
• Experience completing tasks independently with respect to timeline(s).
• Experience with communication via written, spoken and graphical means in English and other relevant languages.
• Experience using common software applications such as Word, Excel, web browsers, etc.
• Experience in training and curriculum design.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
• 3-5 years’ experience in freshwater ecosystem protection and watershed restoration, or similar field of natural resource management or equivalent combination of education in river ecology, hydrology, wetlands, fisheries and aquatic biodiversity.
• Have passion and willingness to apply science to decision-making and guide activities in freshwater and healthy river.
• Have excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work closely and effectively with a variety of partners, i.e., media, government officials, internal scientists.
• Have excellent English skill in written and spoken and communication with working requirements.
• Be able to manage multiple projects activities with dynamic schedules and priorities, and be flexible to changes in prioritization of project.
• Be dependable, self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work independently with respect to responsibilities and timelines.

• Gain cooperation from outside parties to accomplish program goals, and get along with others on the team and supports collaboration.
• Financial responsibility may include working within/managing a budget to complete projects, negotiating and contracting with vendors, assisting with budget development, and meeting fundraising targets.
• Ensures program compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
• Under minimal supervision, makes independent decisions based on analysis, experience and context.
• May work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain and under physically demanding circumstances.

Senior Government Relationship Manager
5 基本职能 /ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Senior External Affairs/Government Relationship Manager provides research and policy analysis in support of The Nature Conservancy’s policy impact priorities and tracks policies and decisions that directly affect conservation goals. The manager builds and facilitates internal networks, coordinating meetings, agendas, and presentations. The manager provides services that assist in influencing the outcome of policy initiatives at the international, country, sub-national, sectoral and local levels. The manager develops strategic partnerships with relevant agencies, conservation organizations, and industry to advance the organization’s conservation agenda. The manager also ensures the organization’s regulatory compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
• May supervise administrative staff and/or volunteers, interns, or temporary staff.
• Financial responsibility to complete projects appropriately, and assist with budget development.
• Ensures program compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
• Works within scope of program’s strategic goals.
• Provides research and policy analysis in support of legislative, and/or policy priorities.
• May provide assistance with preparation of program materials including presentations, memos, and other communications.
• Influences the outcome of policy initiatives at the international, country, sub-national, sectoral and local levels.
• Develops strategic partnerships with relevant agencies, conservation organizations, think-tanks and financial institutions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Fluency in English and (list language(s) of the countries of the relevant geography).
• Experience researching information from divergent sources and compiling it into a cohesive reporting structure.
• Experience with legislative, planning, policy or corporate initiatives at two or more of the following levels: international, country, sub-national, or local.
• Experience presenting to and communicating with government or corporate staff and/or program leadership.
• Experience working with partners/government agencies and the corporate sector.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s degree or higher: Environmental management, Environmental Economics, Environmental policy, Public policy, and other related majors preferable.

Climate Change & Energy Director
6 基本职能 /ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Given that China is the largest GHG emitter in the world and the country is committed to meeting carbon peak by the year 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, TNC is dedicated to tackling climate change with nature-based solutions. The Climate Change & Energy Director establishes the Conservancy as a major policy, science and practice partner within the area of climate change and energy in China. The position holder defines policy and long-term conservation strategies, builds strategic, scientific, and technical capacity in the field, develops key partnerships with public and private organizations to identify and resolve policy, technical and application issues and to widely communicate solutions and best practices. The Director develops innovative scientific methods, analyses, tools and frameworks to address the economic, societal and natural system needs, engage multi-stakeholder support for systemic change efforts, and negotiate complex and innovative solutions with government agencies, sub-national authorities, the private sector to tackle climate change.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
• Building on TNC’s strong existing leadership in Natural Climate Solutions (NCS), leads the creation and execution of TNC china program’s NCS strategy, including a robust and scientifically sound theory of change (ToC), to accelerate and scale the deployment of NCS in China to help catalyze its full potential.
• Drives collaboration with key think-tanks and research institutes on innovative NCS policy, mechanism and roadmap at national, sub-national and sectoral levels.
• Leads TNC policy work on climate change and energy in China, including defining the Conservancy’s policy priorities and developing government and industry engagement plans.
• Builds capacity internally and externally for NCS implementation, including strategies for raising awareness and addressing barriers, and support extensive outreach and training opportunities.
• Develops strong linkages between renewable energy sitting and ecological conservation priorities.
• Helps develop pilot NCS projects with field offices and local partners in China.
• Collaborates with Science Department to develop NCS methodologies, mapping and roadmap, etc.
• Works with external partners to produce NCS research reports.
• Provides strategic leadership for all aspects of climate change and energy program in TNC china.
• Manages projects to fulfill requirements set for outcome, intermediary result, budget, deliverables, timeline and accountability.
• Adapts to TNC’s science-based, evidence-based requirements and procedures.
• Supports engagement with partners and donors in fundraising discussions for climate change and energy work.
• Coordinates with TNC scientists, policy experts and other colleagues to advance TNC’s global climate work.
• Manages multi-disciplinary administrative and professional staff, with responsibility for performance management, training and career development. Establishes clear directions and set stretch objectives.
• Establishes and maintains optimal standards of performance for the program while controlling costs and administering budgets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS degree and 5 years’ experience in conservation practice or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing complex or multiple projects, including staffing, workloads and finances under deadlines.
• Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives and managing performance.
• Experience in partnership development with non-profit partners, community groups and/or government agencies
• Experience negotiating.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Multi-lingual and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
• 5-7 years’ experience in climate change and energy practice or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience influencing, developing and implementing conservation policy and plans.
• Excellent ability in strategic thinking and concept formulation.
• Knowledge of current policy, trends and practices in mitigation, adaptation, climate resilience, nature-based solutions, carbon markets and related disciplines
• Sound knowledge of science, methods and standards of climate change and energy.
• Hands-on experience in full project management cycle
• Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills to diverse internal and external audiences.
• Communicating clearly via written, spoken, and graphical means in English and Chinese languages.
